Victorian State Sponsorship Opens for 2023-2024
The Victorian State Sponsorship program has announced that its Skilled Migration Visa Nomination Program (2023-2024) is now open. The program allows skilled migrants to apply for state nomination, which is a requirement for the subclass 190 and subclass 491 visas.
To be eligible to apply for Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) visa (subclass 491) nomination in the 2023-24 program, onshore applicants must be living and working in regional Victoria at the time of nomination.
Applicants are required to submit a Registration of Interest (ROI) to be considered for state nomination from Victoria.
Victoria consider the following factors in reviewing ROI's:
Age
English language level,
years of experience in your nominated occupation
education and occupation skill level,
partner’s skill (if applicable),
salary – onshore candidates only.
Certain occupations in the following industry sectors will also be prioritised:
Health
Social services
Information Communication Technology (ICT)
Early childhood and secondary education teachers
Advanced manufacturing
Infrastructure
Renewable energy
Hospitality and tourism – for the 491 visa
ROIs will be selected from September 2023. The program will close in early 2024 at a date to be confirmed.
