South Australia's 2024-25 Skilled Migration Program
South Australia's Skilled Migration Program for 2024-25 is now open, offering a range of opportunities for skilled professionals seeking to migrate to South Australia.
For the 2024-25 program year, South Australia is focusing on particular sectors including healthcare, engineering, information technology and trades. The program will continue to offer pathways for both state nomination and direct entry for eligible candidates, supporting South Australia's goal of building a skilled workforce to meet local demand.
Eligible applicants currently in South Australia can apply through one of the following streams:
1. Skilled Employment in South Australia
2. South Australian Graduates
3. Outer Regional Skilled Employment
Eligible applicants who are currently overseas can apply through the Offshore stream.
All applicants are required to lodge an Expression of Interest (EOI) via SkillSelect for one of the 464 occupations available in the onshore streams or the 427 occupations available for offshore applicants. Invitation rounds for South Australian state nomination are expected to occur regularly throughout the year.
Successful applicants will be able to apply for a range of visas including the Skilled Nominated Visa (subclass 190) and the Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) Visa (subclass 491). These visas offer pathways to permanent residency and are tailored to address the needs of South Australia's labour market.
