My circumstances have changed since I submitted my visa application, what should I do?

If your circumstances have changed since you submitted your Australian visa application, it's important to notify the Department of Home Affairs as soon as possible. Failing to update your application with new information could result in your visa being refused or cancelled.

Depending on the nature of the change, you may need to submit a new application or provide additional documents to support your existing application. Here are some common examples of changes that you should report to the Department of Home Affairs:

  1. New address

  2. Change of marital status:

  3. Change of employment status

  4. Change of circumstances related to health or character

It is important to understand if the changes will impact your eligibility for any visa application you have processing or your existing visa. Contact one of our experienced Registered Migration Agents for advice regarding your individual circumstances.
