Labour Market Testing - Policy Update
The Department of Home Affairs has recently revised its policy on Labour Market Testing (LMT) for Subclass 482 and 494 applications.
Unless specific exemptions are applicable, it is mandatory to complete LMT before submitting the nomination.
To comply with the legislative requirements, advertising must be conducted continuously for 28 days within the four months leading up to the nomination lodgement.
Previously, the Department of Home Affairs did not stipulate the need for the 28 days to be consecutive within the four-month period. However, their recent policy amendment now necessitates consecutive 28-day advertising to meet the legislative requirements.
