Increase to TSMIT from 1 July 2024

tsmit

In line with the Government's commitment at the 2022 Jobs and Skills Summit and the announcement in last year’s Migration Strategy, the Department has announced that the Temporary Skilled Migration Income Threshold (TSMIT) will increase from $70,000 to $73,150, effective 1 July 2024.

Subclass 482 and 186 nomination applications lodged from 1 July 2024 must meet the new TSMIT or the annual market salary rate, whichever is higher. Applications cannot be lodged if the market salary rate is below the TSMIT.

This change will not impact existing visa holders or nominations submitted before 1 July 2024.
