Innovation and Early Careers Skills Exchange Pilot (IECSEP)
The Innovation and Early Careers Skills Exchange Pilot (IECSEP) is a new temporary visa pathway for eligible UK citizens established under the UK Free Trade Agreement.
The program is comprised of two streams, with a total of 1000 places available until June 30, 2024, across both streams. This allocation will increase to 2000 positions in the subsequent migration program year (July 1 - June 30).
Early Career Stream
The Early Career Stream offers a 12-month visa and is accessible to tertiary-qualified individuals aged 21-45, requiring at least three months employment in their current role. Eligible occupations in Australia must fall within ANZSCO Skills Levels 1-3
Innovation Stream
The Innovation Stream, offering a three-year visa, caters to applicants showcasing proven innovation contributions across various sectors, alongside high levels of skill and experience. Applications are assessed on a merit basis, without any age limitations. Prospective Australian occupations must correspond to ANZSCO Skill Level 1.
All applicants must have prospective employment in Australia, confirmed through a letter of offer or an employment contract.
IECSEP is also open to UK citizens already working in Australia.
IECSEP applicants planning on working in occupations requiring licensing or registration must already hold full and unconditional Australian licences, registrations or certification to be eligible.
