Fast Tracking Construction Skills - Trades Recognition Australia
The Government has recently announced the fast tracking of skills assessments for migrants who have building and construction experience. This initiative will allow migrants to assist with meeting the urgent demand for skilled and experienced workers in the Australian housing construction sector.
1.Pioritised assessments: From 1 July 2024, TRA will prioritise the assessment of applications for occupations.
Construction occupations available for prioritised assessments include:
Streamlined assessments: From 31 July 2024, TRA will streamline the assessment process by removing the mandatory OSAP assessment requirement for specified occupation/country of passport combinations (see the attached fact sheet) for applicants with a relevant Australian or overseas qualification
