Perth no longer considered regional

The legislative instrument defining regional postcodes was amended, effective 17th November, with Perth metropolitan area no longer being defined as regional.

This impacts applications lodged under the Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme and will only apply to applications lodged from 17th November 2017.

Certain occupations for the 457 visa program and Employer Nomination Scheme ( ENS- 186, Direct Entry Stream) will also be impacted, if the occupation is subject to the caveat that the position.

The following postcodes are considered regional for Western Australia.

• 6041 to 6044

• 6083 to 6084

• 6121 to 6126

• 6200 to 6799
